Somerset

Somerset is an unincorporated community located on 6.44 square miles within Franklin Township in Somerset County, between the city of New Brunswick and the more rural southern section of Franklin Township. As of the 2010 Census, the population was 22,083.

The community neighborhoods vary from tightly packed urban areas along the New Brunswick city line to sprawling, tree-lined suburban developments of hundreds of houses on half-acre lots. Somerset is a magnet for young professionals, who are drawn to its stable neighborhoods, convenient shopping and easy commuting to Manhattan.
